Fairness is the function of allowing others to have equal advantage with all others(do unto others...) much the opposite of brinkmanship.  Spirituality is the art of connectivity cooperation and is dependant on a trusting atmosphere, which depends on the players?s fairness to each other and the commonality.

We need to think of fairness first in any exercise we are about to practice. As Gandhi pointed out "Recall the face of the poorest and the weakest man (and woman) whom you have seen and ask yourself if the step you contemplate is going to be of any use to him (and her)". To that we can add the commonality both spirit and physical as well as the future progeny. This might sound like a tall order in the mass confusion we call civilization now but this threshold needs to be addressed.

The mistrust of our fellow man is the root cause of the consciousness stalemate. The mistrust is caused by the players using force and position rather than fairness to accomplish their goals. The astro-turf spiritualists calling them selves re-joiners are in fact teaching the opposite. Five thousand religions calling each other heathen over designer sin and dogmas are one of the root causes of the destruction of humanity let alone what has happened to the planet in the ensuing warfare.

Force and position of 'those who have the gold rules' in the co-dependency dysfunctional marriage of corporatism and government and the trickle down in its descending order to the family, workplace and the gaming of the life support system creating competition for life itself as the model the core investor Mammonists are attempting to saddle humanity with. In this atmosphere, fairness is a blasphemy, as some of the Churches have professed for centuries. The fairness pleas of the prophets of all sects have been sidelined to protect the secular goals of control and governing by the embedded zealots in most of the religions.

Suppose we indulge our fondest hopes. Let us imagine that Pope Benedict XVI turns out to be quite unlike what many expected, and that he embraces a spirit of theological openness and generosity. No longer would a respected and respectful editor of a Jesuit journal be removed for the "sin of advocating fairness"; no more would a leading theological ethicist be removed from a tenured position or a systematic theologian be quelled by the same threat.

It is pathetic for the reformers as well as the original churches to be hiding the do unto others and the golden rule, the words of most of the prophets in their simplicity were pleading for humanity to just be fair with each other and now we also ask to be fair to the future progeny _ what we are about to do will be of benefit to them _ do no evil. http://raenergy.igc.org/unfair.html

Today we don't even consider if what we are doing will harm them, let alone help them and of course fairness being blasphemy  in organized dividian dogma defense creating a catch twenty two, keeping trust the most important next step in coexistence and cooperation from happening. The embedded zealots covertly manipulating the attempts at spiritual teaching are in essence thwarting the metamorphosis of humanity from the collective un-consciousness to the collective consciousness _ the synaptual switching on of the global brain..
